New Music: The Marshmallow Ghosts

It’s almost Halloween. That means that The Marshmallow Ghosts are here to provide some haunting music and videos. The Ghosts just released their first full-length album, self-titled The Marshmallow Ghosts, and an accompanying album-length music video called Corpse Reviver No. 2.

The Marshmallow Ghosts have been a side project for members of numerous bands from Graveface Records over the past few years. This reincarnation features members from Lady Lazarus, Dreamend, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Casket Girls and, Lawrence’s own, Hospital Ships. The album features songs titled “Shrieks,” “Creaks,” “The Attic,” and “Pig Man’s Bridge.” (I assume that the thing pictured below is “Pig Man.” I’m not sure I want to see the part of the video that goes along with that track.)

The debut album does have a spooky sound to it but it is a pop album. I wouldn’t listen to it alone and in the dark though. Watch the video for “The Hearse Song” (after watching this video I’m not sure I want to see the rest of the album length video either. I can’t handle movies with people in masks lurking outside. (Good Lord, I’m a chicken.)) and listen to “The Attic.”
