The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band @ The Bottleneck

In case you missed them at Wakarusa this year, Timothy Finn of the KC Star had this to say: "One of my favorite shows of the day was in a very crowded and raucous Homegrown Tent: a trio called the Rev. Payton's Big Damn Band. The reverend must be the big guy with a black beard who wears a pork-pie hat and plays resonator guitar like it's his only salvation. His sidekicks: a woman who plays washboard and a guy on a drum kit. They play gutbucket blues, the hard, rough and heavy-grooved Fat Possum kind. The crowd loved it. Once again, roots music scores."
